In November, the Institute for Integrative Health hosted the In Good Health Holiday Market & Wellness Expo. During this event, participants could enjoy a homemade market, demonstrations of all kinds, and talks in our wellness lounge on a variety of different subjects. Inside the wellness lounge, participants could participate or listen to many different presentations, including one by Susan Weis-Bohlen on Ayurveda.
Susan Weis-Bohlen on Ayurveda
Susan Weis-Bohlen is the former owner of Breathe Books and Breathe Bookstore Café. After 10 years of running the shop, Susan decided to close her business in 2014 to focus her energies full-time on her Ayurvedic practice. Susan received her first certification in Ayurveda from the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in 2008. Since then, she has studied in the US and India with Amadea Morningstar and Dr. Vasant Lad. She has certifications in Marma Therapy and Pulse Reading and Ayurvedic cooking and is a speaker on Ayurveda at conferences, businesses, and Universities. In addition, Susan has been teaching meditation around the region since 2009. She also leads retreats and sacred site tours which incorporate yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, primarily to India and Bhutan. Susan’s book, “Ayurveda: A Beginner’s Guide”, will be published by Althea Press, a division of Callisto Media, in February 2018.
