In spring 2017, Veterans participating in this free 10-week program explored themes of war and peace in Shakespeare’s plays. The course culminated in a performance for family, friends, and invited guests. No acting experience was required.
Created for U.S. veterans, the course examined the text, emotional context, issues, and themes in some of Shakespeare’s best-known history plays with plots involving war and peace. It was a one-of-a-kind learning experience with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company’s Teaching Artists.
